Community Ties Youth Provision Project Youth Worker Overview
Haxby & Wigginton Youth & Community Association (HWYCA) is seeking to hire a skilled and confident individual to be our Project Youth Worker. The role will assist our Lead Youth Worker in delivering our Wednesday Youth Group and Thursday Drop-in as part of our Community Ties Youth Provision taking place during Term Time.
The Project Youth Worker will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of activities, crafts and games that encourage development and positive participation for young people aged 10-13 at Wednesday Youth Group, and activities which support positive lifestyle choices for young people aged 13-17 at Drop-in.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver creative, challenging, and relevant content for young people, be a skilled communicator, and committed to making a difference to the lives of young people. We also require the Project Youth Worker to implement weekly activity accessible to all interests and abilities, with practical support from the Lead Youth Worker.
The position is 5.5 hours per week, term time only, at £13 per hour and subject to funding.
