For the past 11 years, York Rescue Boat have played a pivotal role educating the public about the dangers of water and provides a 24/7 on call rescue service supporting North Yorkshire Police and Fire Services as well a nationally deployable Flood Rescue Service Team. Our services were recently recognised with the Kings coronation medal – a very proud moment for our volunteers!
We are an independent charity and all of our crew are volunteers. We’re currently hiring for our next annual intake of Operational team members commencing in September, to carry out patrols both on foot and by boat around the River Ouse and Foss.
