Role description:
Carecent is a breakfast centre for those who are homeless or otherwise socially excluded. Within our morning service we have facilities for showers and a clothing store. We host drop-ins from housing, mental health, hairdressers, podiatrists, Hep C Testing, NHS vaccinations, Opticians, Sexual Health and much more.
We also have a host of sessions around Art, Drama, Walking Groups.
We host a Hearing Voices Group with a mental health worker.
As a Breakfast Volunteer you will be responsible for prepping and serving food, sorting donations, chatting with customers, and cleaning down after service.
Duties of the role include:
-Prepping and helping serve breakfast
-Sorting donations as they come in
-Chatting with customers
-Greeting visitors accessing the service (housing/hairdressers etc)
-Taking feedback from customers
-Cleaning down after service
-helping signpost to external services
-Linking with external services
-Flexibility when approaching different individuals who access the service
