Role description:
The Hull Road Park Volunteer role involves participating in gardening activities to enhance the appearance of the park, including adding colour and interest. Volunteers can also help develop the food growing area. Tasks include gardening, growing fruits and vegetables for the café and personal use, as well as litter picking to help maintain the park. The group is diverse and volunteers can choose to participate in the entire session or part of it, based on their preference.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
No experience is required as guidance, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) are provided.
Volunteers are expected to respect each other, work safely within their own capabilities, and contribute positively to the group’s activities.
