Role description:
The Woodwork Volunteers role involves participating in our weekly woodworking group. You will learn new things or share existing skills through these relaxed welcoming woodworking sessions. We work with wood in different ways through group and individual projects. No previous knowledge or experience is needed and everyone is welcome.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
No experience is required as guidance, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) are provided.

Volunteers are expected to respect each other, work safely within their own capabilities, and contribute positively to the group’s activities.

Will there be a DBS check? No

Driving Licence required? No

Volunteer's own vehicle required? No

What will the volunteer gain/benefit from:
Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn new skills related to woodwork. The physical activity and social interaction from the group activities can improve fitness and enhance mental wellbeing.
A free light lunch is available from the community café before this session if you wish to join.
