Role description:
To support the maintenance the garden at Blossom Street. This will include planting of seasonal
plants, weeding of borders & gravelled areas / the pruning of shrubs and any other tasks
appropriate to the role such as replanting / painting / staining & maintaining benches.
The role will also include a basic responsibility for health and safety in the garden in that the
volunteer is expected to escalate any issues relating to this (such as loose flagstones / issues
with trees etc) to the Volunteer coordinator as required.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance of the garden at Blossom Street. Assistance with preparation for any
special events such as celebrations / BBQ etc. Reporting any issues with the garden
back to the Volunteer Coordinator.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
Qualifications and Experience:
None required save an interest in gardening and a desire to create and
maintain a peaceful space in nature at the Blossom Street site.
A compassionate and non-judgmental approach when interacting with
individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Willingness to undergo training and adhere to safety and confidentiality
guidelines.

Education Knowledge and Experience:
Ability to work with professional boundaries as sometimes the garden is used for
121 sessions with keyworkers.
Good verbal and written communication skills
IT literacy
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality

Non judgmental approach and a love for people.
We hire attitude and can train skills.
