Bring your finance expertise to the British Thyroid Foundation (BTF). We are looking for an organised, accurate and self-motivated Finance Officer to take ownership of our day-to-day finances and help ensure the charity’s funds are used responsibly and effectively.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Trustee Treasurer, you will manage accounts in QuickBooks, lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, and maintain robust financial controls. You will also oversee external payroll provision, administer pensions and Gift Aid, support financial compliance and external audit, and manage the accounts assistant. Your insights will help colleagues and trustees make informed decisions.
You will bring experience in a finance role, including managing budgets, accounts and cash flow, forecasting and reporting. Confident use of QuickBooks and Excel, attention to detail and the ability to explain financial information clearly are essential. You will be comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small team. GCSE English and Maths at Grade 5 or equivalent, and a QuickBooks certification, qualification or equivalent experience, are required.

Salary: Approx £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (pro rata) NJC Pay Scale 23-25 (dependant on experience) | Job type: Part time | Hours: 16 hours
