Abundance Co-ordinator

A great deal of delicious, organically grown, nutritious fruit goes to waste across gardens in York. The Edible York Abundance project can do something about that!
Garden owners often have fruit trees producing lots of fruit in their gardens that they are unable to pick themselves, but many owners are only too happy for Abundance volunteers to pick the fruit, and give it to food banks, community cafes, schools or anyone who can put it to good use.
Edible York is offering a contract for several hours a week for the months of August to November, to one or more people who will co-ordinate volunteers, and also organise a range of fruit based community events.
The paid co-ordinator will need to have their own public liability insurance, and ideally have their own car, for which expenses can be re-imbursed. The rate of pay is £15 per hour.
To discuss further details please contact Ruth Jennaway either at Abundance@edibleyork.org.uk or 07714 896066 (please avoid core hours Tues, Wed, Thurs 9.30am-5pm
