Age UK York is a local, independent charity that supports older people in York, their families, and carers. Together, our team provide a wide range of services which, for over 50 years, continue to make a valuable difference to the needs and lives of older people across the city.
As part of our Finance function, you will make a vital day-to-day contribution in providing essential administrative support, including data inputting and transaction processing. As part of our team, you will help us have the right foundations to make the positive difference we make each day to the lives of older residents across York.
You will need strong IT skills and attention to detail, and you will work with a range of applications, including Charity Log and Care Planner CRMs (customer relationship management systems), Eproductive, and the Xero financial system.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase ledger – downloading and coding regular invoices onto our accounts system (Xero)
Sales ledger – reconciling daily banked amounts and credit card sales from our shops
Processing customer invoices and taking card payments over the phone.
Supporting our Finance Officer with general banking and petty cash processes.
Inputting sales information with respect to Gift Aid donations and changes to Gift Aid donor information (Eproductive).
Supporting monthly monitoring and reporting.
