Freelance Contract or Employed Position (Negotiable)

Background
Up for Yorkshire has grown substantially over the last five years, expanding our reach and impact, and strengthening our role as both an infrastructure organisation and community development specialist. We lead and deliver projects that support grassroots action while shaping strategic direction across the Selby district and wider North Yorkshire.

As our programmes and partnerships have flourished, so too has the need for clear, consistent, and purposeful communications. Marketing and comms are not just promotional tools, they are essential for strengthening relationships, raising our profile, and connecting people to opportunities that improve lives.

Until now, this work has been delivered externally through a contractor, whose arrangement is now coming to an end. We’re seeking a new opportunity for comms and marketing delivery—whether through a fresh contract, freelance support, agency partnership, or employed role. It might even be a combination of more than one solution. We’re open to exploring the right arrangement with the right person or organisation to help us take this forward at an exciting time.

2026 marks Up for Yorkshire’s 50th anniversary, and we see no better moment to invest more energy into celebrating and promoting who we are, what we do, and the impact we make.
