The Service Manager (Counselling) will manage the young people and adults counselling and coaching services, including a new service for students, which form a part of the wider adult and young people’s services at York Mind.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape crucial services that support the mental health and wellbeing of residents across York. You must have a graduate diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy and be a current member of UKCP or BACP to apply and will work closely with employed and volunteer counsellors and other staff to ensure a high quality service is delivered. You will have overall responsibility for the service and will work collaboratively with other service managers as an integral part of the York Mind Managers Team.
Main Deliverables:
To provide overall operational management for the counselling and 1-1 services.
To provide line management for staff and oversight of volunteers
Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation for the services
To develop and contribute to effective partnerships for the services

Salary: £29,625 pro rata per annum | Job type: Part time | Hours: 24.5 hours a week to be worked over 4 days, ideally including a Wednesday and Friday. The post will include some on call (telephone only) evening safeguarding cover
