What is the Physical Health Grants Fund?
The James Tudor Foundation’s Physical Health Grants support UK charities working in physical health, with a focus on therapeutic interventions, health information and direct healthcare.
The fund supports evidence-based services that improve health outcomes and provide specialist support for people living with physical health conditions, disabilities, life-changing injuries, or those experiencing health inequalities.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to UK-registered healthcare charities that:
- Have an annual income of less than £20 million
- Have at least five years of audited or independently examined accounts
- Deliver services within the UK
The fund supports charities working with:
People living with physical health conditions, including:
- People living with neurodegenerative physical conditions and/or neuromuscular conditions
- People living with physical disabilities
- People recovering from life-changing injuries
Specialist condition-specific charities, including organisations that provide:
- Information and support about a specific condition
- Nurse-led helplines
- Digital and printed health information
Inclusion health groups, including charities providing direct healthcare services for:
- People experiencing homelessness
- Street sex workers
- Vulnerable migrants
Priority may also be given to charities that:
- Support people with life-limiting and/or degenerative conditions
- Are PIF Tick certified and/or Helplines Partnership members
- Provide services free of charge or at a highly subsidised rate
- Are primarily reliant on charitable trusts and foundations
Application deadline is 5pm on 31 August 2026.
What size grants are available?
Grants of up to £25,000 are available.
