Role description:
Club Wilber provides accessible, adapted out-of-school activities, events and trips for blind and visually impaired children and young people aged 0 to 25.

As a volunteer, you could help plan and deliver activities, support facilitators during sessions, prepare resources, and provide practical support at events or trips.

Key responsibilities:
- Assist facilitators and prepare resources.
- Provide practical support to children, young people and families.
- Encourage confidence, independence and participation.
- Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and work reliably as part of the team.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
- An interest in supporting families of children with visual impairments and a willingness to learn how to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of our service users
- An open and friendly nature
- Adaptable, reliable and patient
- Good communication skills
- A good sense of humour

Driving Licence required? No
