Role description:
Why we need you
Fundraising at Alzheimer’s Society plays a vital role in enabling us to achieve our strategy. You will support our Fundraising team in this role, helping them to identify opportunities to engage with the local community and to network with supporters.
You’ll help us by coordinating suitable locations for collection tins and managing the funds
collected to support people affected by dementia.
What you will be doing
• Organise and manage collection tins on behalf of Alzheimer’s Society within your local
community in places such as shops, sports and social clubs, local pubs, pharmacies
and food outlets.
• Count and bank the funds raised following the society’s cash handling policy.
• Involvement in showing our appreciation to the businesses that support us.
• Supporting the Community Fundraiser to identify new contacts and help to build
relationships, which could lead to other fundraising opportunities.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
This role will suit you if you
• Are self-motivated, organised and enjoy talking and engaging with people.
• Have good knowledge of your local community and be willing to approach local
businesses for support.
• Have a passion for fundraising and the desire to make a difference to the lives of people
affected by dementia.
You are over the age of 18
