Role description:
We’re looking for one-to-one volunteer mentors who through recreational activity can offer positive support, interactions and a quality sustainable relationship for a local a child or young person. This will allow for the child or young person to have time and space away from their problems so that they are able to engage in positive activities, influences and role models.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
No experience with children and young people is required as we will provide you will full training and guidance throughout your mentoring relationship.

Will there be a DBS check? Yes

Driving Licence required? No

Volunteer's own vehicle required? No

What will the volunteer gain/benefit from:
Working with a child or young person between the age of 8 and 18, you will work one-on-one with your mentee to offer and deliver planned recreational activities to help shape their confidence, self-esteem and resilience levels so that they can take positive steps forward within their lives. DBS and full training is provided, ongoing support throughout your mentoring journey and access to free training on the MyLo platform.
