Role description:
The role involves setting up and staffing an information desk at outreach venues, welcoming potential clients, handing out information leaflets about Age UK services, recording client contact details accurately, and maintaining confidentiality. Volunteers are not to provide advice but to refer clients appropriately. They should keep up-to-date with Age UK York services and engage with older people attending the venue.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
Communication skills, customer service skills, general administration skills, ability to follow guidelines and confidentiality policies, friendly and welcoming demeanor, ability to accurately record information, willingness to learn about Age UK services.
