Role description:
Reading Heroes is a scheme organised by The Reader organisation. Reading Heroes volunteers read (via Zoom) with care-experienced children for one hour per week.
We send the books to both the children's and the volunteer's houses, and we provide full support and training throughout the duration of the 26 week scheme.
The Reader is a UK-based, international charity - we bring people together via Shared Reading. Reading Heroes is a scheme organised by The Reader, and it aims to promote wellbeing amongst care-experienced children (and our volunteers) via weekly Shared Reading sessions

Good listening skills.
A clear speaking voice.
Punctuality/consistency
A love of reading
