Role description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a volunteer aged 16–25 to support the Social Prescribing team at York CVS.
Social Prescribing connects people to non-medical support within the community, helping improve health and wellbeing. The team works with individuals to understand what matters to them and links them to local services and activities.
The volunteer will play a key role in organising and maintaining the team’s SharePoint system, ensuring Social Prescribers have quick access to accurate, up-to-date information about services across York.
The role will begin with creating a clear and effective structure for the SharePoint folders. This may include organising information by area (e.g. wards), service type, or user groups such as young people, parents, or older adults. The volunteer will develop a plan, present it to the Social Prescribing team for approval, and then support its implementation.
Ongoing responsibilities will include updating and maintaining the information to ensure it remains relevant, accessible, and useful for the team.
This role is ideal for someone interested in the health or community sector who wants to make a real impact by helping professionals support more people efficiently.
