Role description:
Strensall Village Hall are looking for a Treasurer to join their Village Hall management committee. The Treasurer is the person who keeps the accounts up to date, checks that payments are received and that payments are made, and reports to the committee at meetings.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
- Basic numeracy and confidence handling figures
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Reliability and consistency
- Clear communication when reporting to the committee
- Comfortable using spreadsheets or simple finance software
- Understanding of book keeping, (although there will be a period of shadowing the existing treasurer as she has given us 6 months notice of her retirement)
