Role description:
Many of our YHA Hostels are set within grounds and have garden spaces. We’re looking for volunteer support to help us maintain and develop our green spaces. Whether you’re green fingered, looking to get into gardening or just keen to spend some time outdoors, we’d love to hear from you.
Typical gardening tasks may include:
• Weeding, digging and composting
• Watering, planting and repotting
• Pruning, cutting back and sweeping
All tools will be supplied by the Hostel.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
We don’t require volunteers to have any formal qualifications for this role, we just ask that you are:
18+ years of age
Happy to work independently or alongside other volunteers
Able to commute to the Hostel
Of sufficient fitness for active outdoor work
Able to provide 1 satisfactory reference
Have the Right to Work in the UK
Will there be a DBS check? No
Driving Licence required? No
Volunteer's own vehicle required? No
