Role description:
Our incredible volunteers make Shine Night Walk happen. From guiding our participants along the route to providing a pick me up at the pit stop, you will play an essential part in creating an unforgettable night.
1. Course Route Marshal– You will be located at a strategic point along the course, ready to cheer and motivate the walkers as they make their way across the city. You will be supported by a Zone Manager and be paired up with another volunteer. You can also bring a friend to buddy up with!
2. Pit Stop Volunteer – You could be placed at one of our pit-stops, helping to motivate the walkers & handing out refreshments.
3. Venue Volunteer – assisting in tasks at Start/Finish venues such as set-up and handing out medals and water.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
- Confident; able to direct and motivate walkers
- Friendly and approachable
- Able to ensure people complete the course safely
