Role description:
New Beginnings Peer Support is a peer-led after-crisis domestic abuse service for women and their children who have previously been subjected to domestic abuse living in North Yorkshire. We aim to provide the foundation from which our clients can experience post-traumatic growth to rebuild their lives despite the ongoing and long-term effects of domestic abuse.


As a York Women's Project Volunteer you'll provide a contact for women across York who have lived through domestic abuse. To ensure they are aware of the service that New beginnings peer support can provide and ensure they have a safe space to talk and be heard.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
- Admin
- Communication
- Lived experience of domestic abuse

Will there be a DBS check? Yes

Driving Licence required? No

Volunteer's own vehicle required? No
