19 November - Volunteer Management Forum - Autumn 2025

About this event

This event is intended for those with volunteer management responsibilities in York’s voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.

It’s a chance for you to discuss volunteer management and hear how others in the sector who manage volunteers are doing things. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from each other’s experiences.

Forum content: Each quarterly Volunteer Management Forum, we have a quick discussion about upcoming news. We sometimes have a speaker on a particular topic, but we always pass the worry monster around the room so you can put your current worries and questions in, and we will draw some out to discuss as a group. There will then be time to network.

This event takes place over lunchtime, so please feel free to bring along your lunch. Tea and coffee refreshments will be provided.

Eligibility: The event is free and open to those with volunteer management responsibilities for a voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) group based in York, UK.

Venue: The training will take place in the Clementhorpe Room at the Priory Street Centre in York. Please visit our venue website to find out more about the centre, including our Accessibility Guide and information on nearby parking.

Contact details: If you have any questions or suggestions for the forum, please get in touch with York Volunteers (Volunteer Centre) via Volunteering@YorkCVS.org.uk.

A very big thank you for delivering safeguarding training yesterday at Red Tower. It was pitched at exactly the right level for the volunteers and it gives us directors something to build on now.

I cannot put into words how helpful it was to have the adjustments that you made to support me. Being able to use that separate room was just what I needed, as I felt able to choose my level of interaction with the group… I appreciated it, as we haven’t been out and about to anything like this for two years and it’s a lot to take in after such a break… love the garden, especially the water feature!
