Apply to pitch at the Two Ridings Community Foundation Dragons’ Den event to get unrestricted funding for your community project!

On the 14 October 2021 six local charitable groups will come together to present 5 minute pitches to six Yorkshire ‘Dragons’ for their chance to secure funding to benefit their local community and showcase the work they do.

With funds donated by the local ‘Dragons’ – business people interested in supporting local charities –  and matched by Two Ridings Community Foundation, each charity has the opportunity to secure between £2-5k of a £30k pot.

Two Ridings Community Foundation are currently looking for the six charities who want to present; three from North Yorkshire including York and three from East Yorkshire, including Hull.

“Don’t worry, you don’t have to be brilliant at presenting to apply, what you need to be able to do is get across who you are, what you do, why it matters and what funds you need in a short, passionate, 5 minute pitch. We are interested in your project and how it benefits people in your area, not a slick, professional pitch.”

The Two Ridings Dragons’ Den will be held at Birdsall House, Malton, the home of James and Cara Willoughby on the boundary of East and North Yorkshire. It will be hosted by the North and East Yorkshire High Sheriffs. There will be a friendly audience of influential Yorkshire people supporting all the charities at this exciting event.

As well as the opportunity to secure funding – and nobody leaves the ‘Den’ empty handed – each group gets the chance to meet, network and share their stories with key players in the region, so after the event, your profile will skyrocket.

Regional media will also be fully briefed giving you a platform for further coverage and profile raising.
