It’s the second day of Small Charity Week and today’s focus is on People! Staff and volunteers are what make York’s Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector so fantastic. But, if we’re honest, working or volunteering for a VCSE organisation can have its challenges – we think we just might be the hardest working sector out there!

We’ve collated information about some of the free support that is available for your staff and volunteers in York:

York Ending Stigma – Let’s talk mental health at work: a framework for employers

York Ending Stigma (YES) want York to be a city where everyone feels as mentally well as possible at work and where no-one feels ashamed to tale about their mental health. To help with this, they have created a free framework for you to use for your organisation, no matter how small or big.

The frame work takes you through 3 steps (Self-Assessment, Take Action and Review and Share) to support your journey towards a mental health stigma-free workplace.

York MIND – Free mental health and wellbeing resource hub for York employers

Your organisation can access a free online resource hub, managed by York Mind and funded by City of York Council, to help you improve mental health and wellbeing at your workplace.

The resource hub is a password-accessible website which contains a wide range of resources for business owners and employees alike, including short videos, webinars and blog posts. Once signed up to the hub, your organisation will be able to access the service free of charge for a period of six months from sign-up.

To express your interest, please email corporatewellbeing@yorkmind.org.uk and a member of York Mind staff will get back to you.
