A brightly coloured cube with the letters MEN, this is the Menfulness logo.Menfulness stands to provide support and social wellbeing for men, to make positive changes in their lives through activities, social meetings and counselling to improve their mental health.

Set up and led by five men who have lived experience facing some tough mental health struggles themselves, Menfulness recognises the pressing need for such services after concerning statistics related to men’s mental health were issued:

“79% of all suicides are by men. We are aware that we cant solve every man’s issues, but not facing them alone really does help. By bringing guys together to laugh, talk and sometimes cry can be the difference.”

With a focus on inclusivity, the group aims to offer a space for men to discuss their challenges openly and without judgment.

The Film – ‘One More Day’:

To coincide with International Men’s Day (Sunday 19 November 2023), Menfulness launched a short film named ‘One More Day.’  This powerful film was created from a poem gifted to the charity by member Matt Kelly, in memory of all those we have lost to suicide. The film encourages people to use their voice if they are struggling and to have the courage to reach out for help.

Trigger warning: Suicide

Menfulness’s commitment to addressing the reality of male suicide is exemplified through ‘One More Day.’ Sharing this film could help broaden the conversation about men’s mental health and suicide.
