York St John University (YSJU) is inviting members, friends and supporters of the grassroots and voluntary sector in York to attend “Decolonial Horizons,” a free local community event on Monday, 24 June, from 1.00pm – 6.00pm. The event will take place at the Creative Centre on the YSJU campus, located on Lord Mayor’s Walk in York.

Join us for a free afternoon event bringing together various local organisations, community groups, residents, staff and students at the York St John University Campus.
 
 
This creative, community-building event is the culmination of series hosted at York St John over the past academic year seeking to explore possibilities for decolonisation in and beyond higher education.
 
 
While the first six events focused on academic contexts, this last event seeks to build and transform our community in York by working with local groups, individuals and grassroots movements to imagine what a decolonised, anti-racist future could look like.
 
 
We would be thrilled if members, friends and supporters of the grassroots and voluntary sector in York were able to attend and participate in this community event.
