Healthwatch York has recently published a significant report titled Listening to Neurodivergent Families in York, offering an insight into the lives of families raising neurodivergent children. This comprehensive study, created in partnership with the Land, York Disability Rights Forum, York Carers Centre, and York Parent Carer Forum, is a testament to the importance of amplifying the voices of those often unheard in our community.
The report brings together the lived experiences of neurodivergent families in York, painting a detailed picture of the challenges they encounter daily. From navigating education systems to accessing essential healthcare and support, the families shared their stories, shedding light on systemic issues that demand attention.
