Lived Insights is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new website – a major milestone for the Community Interest Company (CIC), founded in 2023.
Miles Goring, Director says “Our new website – www.livedinsights.org – has been developed in partnership with a team of talented consultants and freelancers to be simple, accessible, and easy to navigate. We’ve designed it with care, especially for those who may be facing difficult times. Whether someone is dealing with homelessness, addiction, mental ill-health, or involvement with the criminal justice system, we want our message to be clear ‘we’re here for you – and you are welcome here’.”
The new website shows our work in Research, Facilitation and Training, and Community Engagement. As a lived experience-led CIC, we believe our projects and stories show how lived experience is helping improve services in York.
Astrid Hanlon, Director went on to say “We can’t thank our website team enough – One to One Development Trust – and the incredible consultants who helped us bring this vision to life. Our new site showcases the work we’ve done over the past few years, and we’re incredibly proud of how it’s all come together.”
We invite everyone to:
- Visit our new website: https://livedinsights.org/
- Explore, share, and tell us what you think at contact@livedinsights.org
- Share the site with anyone who might find it helpful, want to work with us, or learn more.
We want to hear from people with lived experience of homelessness, addiction, mental ill-health, the criminal justice system, or poverty. By sharing your story, you can help us drive real change.
We also welcome organisations that want to work with us on research rooted in lived experience to help improve support systems.
About Lived Insights
Lived Insights started in 2023 as a Community Interest Company (CIC). It was founded by people who have experienced homelessness and want to use their experiences and insights to make a difference.
Often, support services are made without listening to the people they are meant to help – and they want to change that. They believe that by putting lived experience at the centre of decision-making, we can build fairer, more caring support systems.
They work closely with people who have lived experience of homelessness, addiction, mental ill health, and the criminal justice system. Through research and their weekly Community Research Café, we bring people, community groups, and public services together to shape better policies and services.
