The York St John Communities Centre (YSJCC) offers a range of mental health and wellbeing services for communities across York and North Yorkshire.
Based at York St John University, the Centre provides affordable, accessible counselling and coaching, alongside free services like bereavement cafés, peer-support groups, a community language school and creative literacy sessions for children and families.
Counselling is available (from £15 per session) and supports people with depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem and relationship issues. Support is person-centred and tailored to each individual’s needs.
The Centre also hosts drop-ins and community projects, including a free mental health peer-support group for students and wellbeing coaching for adults.
YSJCC is open to all and welcomes self-referrals.
