Call for Expressions of Interest: Advisory Panel Members
We’re inviting expressions of interest from individuals who would like to be part of the Advisory Panel for the Community Mental Health Transformation Grant Fund in York.
This panel plays a vital role in shaping how funding is allocated to projects that support the mental health and wellbeing of York residents. We are looking for diverse voices and perspectives, especially from those with lived experience of mental health services in York.

York CVS, on behalf of the York Mental Health Partnership and the Connecting our City project, is managing and distributing the Community Mental Health Transformation Grant Fund. This fund aims to strengthen the VCSE sector’s role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of York residents

What’s Involved?
The Advisory Panel will meet on:
Date: Wednesday, 19 November 2025
Time: 3hrs (exact time to be confirmed between 12.30pm-4.30pm)
Location: York CVS, Priory Street Centre, 15 Priory Street, York YO1 6ET
During the session, panel members will:
- Review a shortlist of grant applications
- Share their perspectives on which projects best meet the needs of people in York
- Discuss how proposals reflect lived experience, innovation, and inclusivity
- Help shape recommendations for the final decision-making panel
You’ll be supported throughout by Ben Hutchinson, Co-Production Champion from Connecting Our City, who will help ensure the process is inclusive and accessible.
Who Can Express Interest?
We welcome interest from individuals who:
- Are aged 18 or over
- Live within the City of York Council boundaries
- Have accessed mental health services or support groups in York
We understand that some participants may be part of organisations applying for the grant. This does not exclude you from joining the panel. We will ensure the process is fair and that all voices are heard respectfully.

- Your name and contact details
- A short paragraph about your experience and why you’d like to be involved
- Any access or support needs you’d like us to be aware of
- Confirmation that you are available on the afternoon of Wednesday, 19th November
- Anything we need to know about your availability or circumstances that might affect your participation

All expenses including travel, childcare, parking etc will be covered. There will also be refreshments and snacks provided.
