Role description:
To support vulnerable adults who suffer from mental ill health issues to connect with the local community and reduce social isolation.
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
This is the ideal role for people who wish to gain experience in the field of social support. Mainstay is looking to recruit people with lived experience and those who are considering or already training to become psychologists, counsellors, social work and mental health practitioners.
Mainstay would also value people with expertise in the sector who may have 'retired' from their full time roles.
Skills required are person centred support, insight , calm demeanour and patience.
