Activity Groups Coordinator

The Activity Groups Coordinator sits within the peer support and social prescribing service- part of the wider adult services at York Mind. The service works within the new Yor Community Wellbeing Hubs, which are part of the Connecting Our City project. The Hubs include partners from the local authority, NHS and other voluntary sector organisations. As Activity Groups Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall development, coordination and facilitation of wellbeing activity groups, across 3 hubs. Identifying group need and demand; activities will be coproduced alongside Hub users.

As a skilled coordinator, you will:
Develop group materials and psycho-educational resources; structure a rolling delivery timetable; be responsible for advertising and marketing of groups; process and onboard group members; complete group facilitation and gather/monitor evaluation and feedback.

Where requested activities fall into a particular specialism/skill set, i.e, Yoga, as groups coordinator you will be responsible for researching options to promote access to such activities. Either delivering in line with the project’s budget, or through facilitating access to other active groups in the community.

Flexibility is key in this role.
