A festival for the living
With a full programme of events, York’s Dead Good Festival will take place between 8 – 17 May 2026.
York’s Dead Good Festival invites us to look at death, dying and bereavement differently, opening up conversations about how we can approach the end of life with greater honesty, dignity and care.
Through learning, shared experiences, practical information, music, art and open conversation, the festival explores how changing the way we think about death can improve wellbeing for individuals, families and communities alike. By talking more, we can prepare better—and benefit everyone involved.
