About Move Mates
Move Mates is an award‑winning project from Move the Masses, helping people improve their wellbeing through supported walking. We rely on grant funding to keep our services free, accessible and impactful.
Role Purpose
To support Move Mates by identifying funding opportunities and preparing high‑quality grant or bid applications that help sustain and grow the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Research suitable grants, trusts and funding streams
• Draft, edit and submit funding applications
• Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to gather project information, data and impact stories
• Maintain a simple log of applications, deadlines and outcomes
Commitment
• Remote role, approx. 2–3 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Ongoing support from the Volunteer Coordinator

Your work will directly help Move Mates secure essential funding, enabling more people to access confidence‑building, life‑enhancing walking support
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
Skills & Experience
• Experience writing successful grant or funding bids
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
