The Healthwatch York Annual Meeting will take place from 1-3pm on 22 September, in the Main Hall at The Priory Street Centre.
The annual meeting is an opportunity to hear more about the work Healthwatch York has been doing over the past year, including how they have been listening to local people and ensuring their experiences of health and social care are heard.
Join Healthwatch York to find out more about their work and the difference it has made over the last year, as well as hearing about their plans for the future. There will also be an update on what the Health Bill currently going through Parliament could mean for Healthwatch and the way people’s voices are represented within health and care services.
The event will also provide an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate some of the amazing health and care services in York, recognising the people and organisations working to support the health and wellbeing of local communities.
Whether you already know about Healthwatch York and its work, or are simply interested in finding out more about how local people can have their voices heard in health and social care, the Annual Meeting is a chance to learn more, connect with others and celebrate the work taking place across York.
Who are Healthwatch York?
Healthwatch York is the independent voice for people who use health and social care services in York.
They listen to local people about their experiences of health and social care, and use what they hear to help improve services. They also provide information and signposting to help people understand their rights and access the support available to them.
Healthwatch York works with residents, community organisations, health and care services, and decision-makers to make sure people’s experiences and views are heard and taken into account.
