The Community First Prime Opportunities Fund, managed by Two Ridings Community Foundation, supports projects helping disadvantaged young people aged 11 to 19 overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

Priority is given to projects supporting young people from the most deprived communities.

The fund covers York, North Yorkshire, Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to:

  • Voluntary organisations
  • Community groups
  • Small charities
  • Other not-for-profit organisations
  • Individuals

Projects must support young people aged 11 to 19 from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Priority is given to projects where the people benefiting have helped to raise some of the funding themselves.

What size grants are available?

Grants of up to £500, covering up to 80% of total project costs.

Applications can be made at any time, subject to funding being available. There is no fixed deadline.

Applicants should read the fund guidance before applying and submit all required supporting documents alongside their application.

Two Ridings Community Foundation aims to make a decision within eight weeks of receiving a complete application.
