City of York Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) Community Grant Programme supports local VCSE organisations working to help low-income households experiencing financial difficulties and build longer-term financial resilience across York.

The fund aims to prevent financial crises, support vulnerable households and improve access to financial advice and practical support.

Funding can support activities including:

  • Debt, housing, energy and money advice
  • Benefits checks and help accessing financial support
  • Budgeting, financial education and future planning
  • Employment and training advice
  • Helping people manage or reduce debt and build savings
  • Improving access to community-based support services

The programme particularly welcomes projects that address the underlying causes of financial hardship, work collaboratively with other services and provide longer-term, sustainable support.
