York CVS is hosting a free Ask the Expert session to help voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations understand upcoming payroll and employment changes and what they need to do to prepare.
Taking place on Wednesday 11 November 2026, the session will bring together specialists from Azets and Ware & Kay Solicitors to provide practical guidance on employment law developments, payroll requirements and what these changes could mean for employers.
What will the session cover?
Jessica Gower, Head of Employment at Ware & Kay Solicitors, will provide an update on key employment law developments expected over the next six months, helping organisations understand what is changing and how it could affect their workforce.
Julie Gunnell from Azets will explore important payroll developments, including:
- The Fair Work Agency and what its developing role could mean for employers
- Mandatory payrolling of Benefits in Kind from April 2027
- Associated compliance requirements
- Practical steps organisations can take now to prepare
The session aims to make these developments easier to understand, helping employers identify what needs their attention now and what they should be planning for.
