Money Saving Support for People Struggling to Heat their Homes this Winter
Today (27 November) is Fuel Poverty Awareness Day, and with 24,500 households in North Yorkshire living in fuel poverty, Warm and Well Yorkshire are supporting people and communities to stay warm and well during winter.
Warm and Well in North Yorkshire is a partnership project bringing together organisations from the public, private and charity sector with the aim of reducing the number of cold homes, cold people and cold deaths within North Yorkshire. By working together, the project aims to reach communities and households across the seven districts of North Yorkshire.
If your organisation works with an individual who you think could benefit from support, please get in touch with Warm and Well in North Yorkshire. They can refer individuals to someone who will support them every step of the way. They have local experts who talk to individuals directly in their own home and help them switch to a cheaper energy supplier, apply for grants they are entitled to, and make easy-to-do changes to keep their home warmer. The video clip below provides an insight into how Warm and Well can support individuals.
