Service Manager (Peer Support and Social Prescribing)

The Service Manager (Peer Support and Social Prescribing) will manage the peer support and social prescribing service, which forms a part of the wider adult services at York Mind.

The peer support and social prescribing service operates within the Yor Community Wellbeing Hubs. These form part of the Transforming Our City project across the city, and include partners from the local authority, NHS and other voluntary sector organisations.

There are 2 active wellbeing hubs currently, with plans underway for a 3rd hub in due course.

You will work alongside one other service manager, to manage, represent and develop the York Mind offer within the hubs, as part of a partnership model.

Together, you will have full oversight of our services across 3 Wellbeing Hubs, including one 24/7 Hub, and within Foss Park Hospital, and it is therefore important to understand that you will be working with people who may have serious mental illness.

You will be an integral part of both the York Mind Management team and the Yor Wellbeing Hubs leadership teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a developing service that will provide peer support and social prescribing, as part of a holistic, neighbourhood offer to support the mental health and wellbeing of residents across York, as part of the Connecting our City project.
