The Movement, Activity and Sport Investment Programme has opened to applications, offering grants from £3,000 to £49,999 for projects that promote physical activity and reduce inequality across York and North Yorkshire.
Launched by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, this £2.75 million fund is a key part of the Moving Forward campaign. It is being delivered by North Yorkshire Sport on behalf of the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The fund is open to a wide range of organisations, including community groups, sports clubs, charities, and resident committees. There is a strong focus on projects that support:
-

-
women and girls
-
early intervention and prevention in health
-
early intervention and prevention in anti-social behaviour and crime

The first round closes on 7 December 2025, with decisions expected week beginning 2 February 2026.
An online information webinar will be held on 23 October 2025 at 12.00 noon.
