Nominations are now open for the Social Enterprise Yorkshire and Humber (SEYH) Awards 2027, celebrating organisations and individuals making a positive difference across the region.
From established social enterprises to new start-ups, the awards recognise organisations and individuals delivering social and environmental impact, championing innovation and finding new ways to support their communities.
For social enterprises in York and North Yorkshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase their achievements, raise awareness of their work and gain recognition across the region.
Award categories
There are eight categories recognising different aspects of social enterprise:

Large Social Enterprise of the Year – organisations with an annual turnover over £200,000.

Small Social Enterprise of the Year – organisations with an annual turnover under £200,000.

Social Entrepreneur of the Year – recognising outstanding individual leadership.

Start Up Award – celebrating newer social enterprises.

Environmental Award – recognising positive environmental impact.
-
Social Impact Award – sponsored by Key Fund, celebrating organisations demonstrating meaningful social impact.

Innovative Use of Tech Award – recognising creative uses of technology.

Social Investment Award – celebrating both investors and investees making a difference through social investment.
Organisations can submit nominations in more than one category if their work meets the relevant criteria.

Complete the online nomination form before the closing date.
Nominations close on Monday 7 December 2026.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 18 March 2027 at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield, with catering provided by local social enterprise Dinner Club.
