Role description:
The Audio Editor supports the media team by taking raw audio from our logs and turning it into clean, polished clips ready for social media, podcasts, broadcasts, and promotional use. Using tools such as Audacity, Ocenaudio, or similar free editing software, they help ensure our sound quality is consistent, professional, and engaging.

- Download and organise raw audio from logs or recordings
- Edit audio using Audacity or other accessible editing tools
- Remove background noise, errors, gaps, and unwanted sections
- Level audio, apply EQ, and ensure consistent volume
- Cut clips for social media, interviews, promos, and highlight reels
- Export files in the correct format for the social or broadcast team
- Work with content creators to understand style and tone requirements
- Label and store edited files clearly for easy team access

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
- Basic understanding of audio editing (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Familiarity with Audacity or similar software
- Good ear for sound quality, pacing, and clarity
- Attention to detail and pride in producing clean, polished work
- Reliable, organised, and able to follow a brief
- Comfortable working independently or within a team workflow
