Role description:
The Charity Coordinator leads our Charity of the Month initiative, selecting one local charity each month and managing all communication, planning, and content creation around their involvement. They act as the link between the charity, the production team, and the social media team to ensure each organisation receives meaningful exposure through interviews, infomercials, and on‑location content.
- Select one local charity each month to feature as our Charity of the Month
- Build positive relationships with local charities and community groups
- Coordinate with the production team to arrange an on‑air interview with a charity representative
- Work with the charity and production team to create an infomercial, voiced by someone from the charity
- Liaise with the social media team to capture footage, photos, and potential video interviews
- Gather key information, stories, and messaging from the charity to support content creation
- Ensure all content aligns with our brand values and community mission
- Keep track of monthly features and maintain a simple schedule or pipeline of upcoming charities
Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage monthly deadlines
- Confident coordinating between multiple teams
- Friendly, approachable, and community‑minded
- Good listener with an eye for meaningful stories
- Able to represent the organisation professionally when dealing with external partners
