Role description:
The York Mystery Plays return in 2026, bringing the city’s medieval waggon plays back to the streets. Plays are performed on waggons that travel between four locations in the city centre, in a world-famous outdoor theatre experience for audiences of all ages.

You will work as part of a friendly team to support a York Mystery Plays performance group.
You may use your skills in any of the following roles:

• Actor
• Musician
• Puppeteer
• Costume designer and maker
• Wigs and makeup artist
• Set designer and construction
• Theatre related skills

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
• Reliability and friendliness are essential.
• Able to work as part of a team

Will there be a DBS check? No

Driving Licence required? No

Volunteer's own vehicle required? No
