Role description:
On Sunday 12 July 2026, join our York Dragon Boat Race volunteer team and support our rowers, engage the public, and help raise vital funds.
Join us at the York Dragon Boat Race and help support our rowing team during this lively community event. You will help create an energetic atmosphere, fundraise, and help people to learn more about Family Fund.
About the role
As a volunteer, you’ll cheer on our rowers and help them feel supported throughout the races. You will also help run our fundraising stall, where you will greet visitors and sell temporary tattoos. You will support our raffle and share information about Family Fund with members of the public.
This opportunity offers a fun outdoor experience and a chance to support Family Fund. You will enjoy a friendly team setting and gain useful experience in events and public engagement. It is a rewarding way to spend your time and contribute to an important cause.
The event will take place on Sunday 12 July 2026 in York. We will share the exact riverside locations once you sign up. Both areas are easy to reach and offer great views of the races. We would love to have you join us for this exciting event.

No previous experience needed. You should be confident and comfortable speaking with different people.
