Role description:
Scout Group Support Volunteers provide assistance to the Scout Groups in York, run entirely by volunteers, which offer opportunities to around 2000 young people and adults. The volunteers assist in various tasks to free up leaders to plan and conduct activities. This support can be provided on an ad hoc basis and can range from administrative work and facility management to organizing activities and weekend camps. Volunteers can also join Trustees and fundraisers for individual Scout Groups to ensure the proper functioning and financial stability of the charity.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
Skills related to administration, event planning, community development, communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and safeguarding protocols. Volunteers should support the values of Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief, and Co-operation.
