When are volunteers needed: Monthly Steering Group Meetings (90 mins each) first Thursday of every month, alternating between afternoon and evening, voluntary work between meetings as and when required.

Role description:
York Disability Rights Forum is open to anyone living, working, or studying in York who has the time and passion to volunteer for our cause.
The role will contribute to shaping and guiding the Forum within the Steering Group. As a Steering Group Member, you’ll help direct the priorities, logistics, activities and other important issues for York Disability Rights Forum.
You would represent YDRF at meetings, share ideas to improve what we do, engage with members and join a subgroup.

YDRF is split into the following subgroups, and most of our work falls into one of these areas:

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
A passion for activism in the field of disability. You do not need Trustee or equivalent experience to apply. Must be 18 or over.

What will the volunteer gain/benefit from:
