Role description:
Our Task and Errands Volunteers help our Neighbours to continue living comfortably in their own homes. From replacing lightbulbs to curtains, emergency shopping, gardening, tech troubles, and more - we help with those odd jobs that are too small for a tradesperson, but are important.
When a Neighbour lets us know that they need help with something, the office team collect and assess the details, and advertise the task to our volunteers to take. We then pass it over to you to organise and visit, supporting along the way with any issues.

Skills and behaviours needed for the role:
We do not ask for any specific requirements for this role.
The nature of tasks that we are able to help our Neighbours with span from practical DIY, driving, and social visits.
This is a social role and you will be visiting people in their homes. This is often done alone, although we sometimes have tasks that require two volunteers.
